Simply images of ephemara, incidentals, strange and enjoyable happenstances I find lying around the studio (that quite snickering one hears in the back of ones head, only to turn around and there it is … ).
Also some small collages that I post to people, well to Matt W. really – he’s still people though.
One note about the Collages. They are mostly composed of pieces of paper and other detritus I find during my walking around the city, with a few additions found on the studio floor. In the best traditions of Situationalist International some content will probably offend. I’m sending them to my friend Matt in Auckland as I wish to exhibit them there when I return to NZ (TBC). I’m uploading the images of this mail-art after I hear confirmation from recipient, so as not to pre-empt surprise.
Every good artist needs studio assistants. This is my pal - and I’m sure some will welcome with me the irony that one of New Zealands most iconic paintings in another temporal reality is beer. That’s fresh.
This bag is amazing, it’s my new best friend. I’ve had it in the studio for three weeks now and it just moves around the floor, skitting along everytime I walk by, pushed around by the small eddies of friction created each time I pass. Possibly one of the most interesting non-art art-works I’ve ever had the plaesure of stumbling across. My little bag-of-nothing.
